I got a part-time job!!I failed job interviews three times in the past,so I lose my self-confidence.But finally,I get a job!!



I will work at Shinseido in Ofuna.I had wanted to work at CD shops.So it is the best shop to work for me.In addition,this shop is located near my home. So it is very convenient to go to the shop.I want to earn a lot in summer vacation.

Today I went to the trombone lesson.My teacher instructed me about an adlib play.

Adlib is not written.We create it at the moment.It is hard but fun.

His adlib is so fantastic!!So I was moved everytime.

He said me that my adlib phrase is cool!!So I'm very happy now!!

But I must practice harder.

Yesterday,very shocking thing happened…Michael Jackson died…I love his music.His music is so great.He is not similar with any other musicians.He is also a fantastic dancer.

His death was so sudden…I can't still believe it…Thanks for your effect on the music world.

I went to Hirotaka Izumi&Eijiro Nakagawa Duo live.
Hirotaka Izumi is one of the greatest pianist in Japan,and also he is very popular as a composer.Eijiro Nakagawa is a Japanese super trombonist.He is a jazz musician,but he can also play classic and Rock etc…
I listened his play 3 years ago,I was so moved.It is the cause of my jazz love.So I love his play style.

This live was so fantastic!!I talked with them after it.They so friendly persons.

I bought a new mouse-piece.Do you know "mouse-piece"?

It is not the one which is used in a boxing(^O^)
We use it to play brass instruments.For example,trumpet,trombone and horn etc…

There are a lot of different mouse-pieces.They differ syzes,materials and weights.

They have a big influence on our sound.So they are very inportant.

My new mouse-piece is expensive but so good!!

Today I went to jazz live.I was really expecting it.The musicians are so popular and famous.

We were invited by my circle's OB.He is a sponcer of the live.So we don't have to pay the charge.It's so luckey.

It was a fantastic live.I really enjoyed.

Today I have the circle.I must go to Mita campus.It is a little hard…In addition,it costs about 7000yen a month,

However,my circle is very exciting.

Congratulatiom!!

Mr,Tsujii won the Cliburn Competition.This competition is high level and so classic.He is the first Japanese person to win it.



He is totally blind man.We usually think it is impossible for such a person to play the piano.But he plays it wonderfully.I really impressed by him.I wonder why he can play like that.




He encouraged me to practice the trombone and to live.I want to go to his concert someday.

I thought that I want much free time in my high-school days.My club activity is very hard,and also I had to study at that time.So I was so busy.

My trombone case was too heavy for me to carry.I carry it everyday.So I am tired these days.

I bought new case.It is so light but hardy.It is so nice case.



Today is Friday.I like it.Because I have not many classes on Friday,And also It is my circle day.

I am learning how to adlib.Adlib play is very hard for me.Because I don't have a sense of harmony.I have to study a theory of the code.

I don't have much money.I want to get money in order to play with my friends and buy a lot of CDs.In addition,I have a lot of free time now. So I want to do part-time job.


Two weeks ago,I submitted an application form to TOWER RECORD.I often buy CDs at that shop,I like it.


However they have not call me yet.Maybe they decided not to let me work at that shop.
It is so shocking happening.

I belong to Keio Light Music Society.It plays big band jazz.

Today we participated in Omori Jazz Festival.Waseda High Society Orchestra and Meiji Big Sound Orchestra Participated ,too.These bands are top of university big bands in Japan.

Keio,Waseda and Meiji won Yamano Big Band Jazz Contest many times.So today's festival was so high level.


As a result ,Meiji won this event.I am very sorry.But Meiji's play was fantastic,I think.


I want to play like them.I decided to practice harder.

I have two bad things today.First, my right contact lens was lost.I am a so careless man,so we lost contact lens three times!!I am disappointed at me…



I went to ophthalmology unwillingly.I must be examined an eyesight before getting the contact lens.The second bad thing was that my eyesight became worse.My eyesight had been 0.008,but now it is getting worse and worse!!It damaged me seriously…



I heard a blueberry is good for eyes.We will make it a rule to eat blueberry jam in breakfast.

high school festival

High school from which I graduated will hold the festival tommorow.I am going to go there with my old friends.We will have dinner tommorow after the festival.I have not met them for a long time,so I am pleased at meeting them very much.

Also I am looking forward to meeting with my teachers.They are very friendly,so it is so fun to talk with them.




I will take my trombone to high school festival tomorrow.Because I was asked to play at cafe.It is pleased thing,but also worried thing.

J.J.Johnson

JJ was the word's greatest jazz trombone player.He is called "God of jazz trombone".
He had a awesome technic and stable play style.He affected a lot of trombonists around the world.But he died on 2001 (77 years old).
Today there are a little trombonists who have greater technic than he .However most jazz trombonists say "JJ is the number one!!".Because his play style was so cool.No one can imitate his style.

Now uniqueness and originality are required of musicians,I think.I hope that musicians pursue their own identity.

I bought new trombone on thursday.When I bought new trombone,I played about 10 trombones and finally chose one.I felt this trombone matched my body.This is the best for me.

I will play the music with it for long years.I can't play music without it.So this is my new partner.I decide to practice two hours everyday in order to get along with it.

Bontro equals Trombone.The word of Trombone is long,so I always call it Bontro.

I play the Trombone in Keio Light Music Society.We play Big Band Jazz.
